Thabang Skwambane
Former Investment Banker, Social Activist, Dream Mapper

Thabang’s personal tragedies include two consecutive bankruptcies and witnessing firsthand the death of an HIV-positive person. These humbling events profoundly altered the course of his destiny as he traded in his stocks and bonds for a life dedicated to caring and sharing.

Today, this one time investment banker is a committed social activist who has established The Lonely Foundation, an initiative that aims to raise funds and awareness of the plight of orphaned and vulnerable children throughout Africa.

As we accompany Thabang on his soul journey, he talks candidly about the seductive power of consumerism, of how he discovered true wealth and meaning in life and of the role of dream mapping in attaining his goals. We also explore whether or not sport can be used as a transformative tool for social upliftment and for connecting to spirit.

“As Africans we need to activate our hearts and minds and hold out a hand to those who have lost everything.”
